Many people play Grand Theft Auto games for the shooting aspect. Most of the time it’s just a lot of fun to shoot around and blow stuff up. Sadly, GTA V doesn’t have shooting. There are some crazy theories that say that the reason why there is no shooting is because the game doesn’t want you to be a sociopath. That’s one theory, but I’m not sure if that would be enough to dissuade someone from playing a game with shooting like this one. Why wouldn’t they include it if they were trying to discourage people from being bad? For example, some people still drink alcohol despite all the public service announcements telling them not to do so. They’re pretty persuasive though. It’s possible that Rockstar didn’t want people shooting each other too often or causing mayhem with their guns (since they’re already driving cars around and causing mayhem). And while I agree that killing should be discouraged as much as possible, part of me feels sad when I look at the gun selection menu and don’t see any options for firing my weapon.
Check the game’s settings
In order to be able to shoot, you will need to change your game settings. Go into the Options menu and select Controls. From there, scroll down to Shooting and check the box next to Firearms. You will also need to enable Aiming by checking the box next to it. Once you have done this, you should be able to shoot your gun in Grand Theft Auto V!
